disneyland feb 2013

Toward the end of February, like everybody else in Utah, we were feeling a little cooped up from having to stay inside so much because of the freezing cold and lingering winter.  We booked a hotel and left a couple days later for a really quick trip to California.  We drove out there on a Wednesday, spent 3 days at Disneyland, and then drove back home on a Sunday.  It was a way quick trip, but it was just what our little family was needing.  It was a little chilly in the morning and evening but it was perfect T-Shrit weather all afternoon.  After the below freezing temps at home, we were in heaven!

It had only been 8 months since our last trip to Disneyland, but it was a night and day difference for Zion.  Being just a little bit older, he understood what was going on so much more, and was really excited to see all of his "friends" (the characters) and to go on the rides.  When we went last summer we missed the opening of Cars Land by one week, so getting to see that and ride Mater's Junk Yard Jamboree were the highlights of the trip for Zion.  Zac used to always say that he thought going to Disneyland once a year was more than enough, but after this second trip and seeing how excited Zion was about everything, he's already talking about wanting to go back.  With baby due in 3 months, I don't think I'm up for it, but I can't wait until the beginning of October when we have a trip planned to go with the Barker family.
